Food Pantry and Community Services

We seek to act in response to Christ’s words, “Whatever you do for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you do for me.” We, the Church, are the hands and feet of the gospel. So in order to reach the world we not only serve by preaching the Word of GOD but we also serve through our local Food Pantry and assist people in need.

This program was founded by First Lady, Pastor Viviane who has a great heart to help people in desperate need food. Bishop Lazard believed that in order for people to receive spiritual food they needed physical food as well. He brought this vision before the Church and together with the assistance of dedicated Church members the food pantry was birthed. Parishioners would go to Brooklyn’s local food terminal and purchase by the pounds essential food for the community. They doors of the Church were open Thursday from 9a.m.-11a.m. to serve the community. News spread that there was a local Church distributing food weekly without assistance of local government. As we served, we continued to pray for assistance. GOD opened up a door and our Church was contacted by organization such as: Food Bank and City Harvest, which ‘til today supplies us with food to serve the masses. Our Food pantry serves people in Brooklyn every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m.-11a.m. We Serve over 600 people weekly. The pantry has been in existence for over 20 years. Both our Bishop and First Lady were honored by our local civic leaders for the dedication and job well done. They both gave the Glory to GOD and thanked parishioners for volunteering and their donations. We would like to continue and expand this department by providing more food, free counseling, job search, cover expenses like medication and visit people in prison. We solicit your prayers as we plan to extend this program in Haiti. If you would like to be a volunteer email us, we would love to hear from you.
